8. How do I properly clean and maintain my SPC flooring?
To clean stubborn dirt, use a non-rinsing cleaner that leaves no residue, along with a mop. Avoid abrasive cleaners, oil cleaners, or dish detergents.
9. Can I walk on my SPC floor and mop it immediately after installation?
It is advisable to avoid walking on your SPC floor for at least 24 hours post-installation. However, you can mop your floor right after installation.
10. How do I repair a chip or scratch in my vinyl flooring?
While chips and deep scratches in SPC cannot usually be removed, they can be concealed. Try rubbing a drop of mineral spirits, turpentine, paint thinner, or baby oil over scuff marks, and then wipe away with a soft cloth. Ensure to clean with a damp cloth afterwards to remove any residue.
11. What is the average lifetime of a vinyl floor?
The longevity of vinyl flooring varies significantly, generally lasting between five and 30 years. The quality of the product and the care and maintenance it receives are key factors in its lifespan.
